Valley Sculpture Artists

Artist Reception August 18th 6 pm - 8 pm

Sculptors have more Depth…..

Because Sculptors think in 3 dimensions height width AND depth.

The August Show features 40 local artists from the Valley Sculpture Artists. The show is full of dimensional thinkers! The media varies from clay, metal, mixed media, handmade paper, bronze, wood, stone, glass.

Many of these sculptors will be present at the opening of the show! You are invited to meet the artists and learn more about how they see in 3-D!

The Artist Reception is Saturday August 18th from 6 pm to 8pm. The show runs from August 18th through September 8th 2018. Stop by and experience this amazing work.

Gallery Hours Wed. through Fri. noon – 4pm and Saturday 11 am to 3 pm.

OUR MISSION

Promoting and preserving the ceramic and other arts through facilities, equipment, education and exhibits.

ACAI Studios is a community studio operated by the Allied Ceramics Art Institute (ACAI) a 501 C(3) California Public Non Profit Corporation. The Studio provides the space, equipment and support needed for ceramic arts. We offer outstanding artistic, educational, and collaborative opportunities in ceramic arts. We serve everyone in the east Sacramento communities of Fair Oaks, Folsom, Citrus Heights, Orangevale, Gold River and Carmichael.

We are a resource for personal and professional development for anyone interested in ceramics, including children, inquisitive beginners, off and on hobbyists, collectors, and emerging and experienced artists.

Sacramento Ceramics and Pottery Classes

We offer a variety of ceramic and pottery classes for all ages and skill levels in the Sacramento area. Adult ceramic and pottery classes, whether a beginner or intermediate student, allow you to build your pottery skills and express your artistic ideas. The children’s ceramic and pottery classes give students the opportunity to explore their creativity using clay and learn lifelong artistic skills. The ceramic and pottery classes run four to six weeks and include materials and firing. Ceramic and pottery classes run one and a half to three hours per class and for four to six weeks depending on the class.

Gallery

Our Sacramento community art gallery features local artists along with the work of students and members. The Sacramento art gallery shows often combine both ceramic sculptural pieces with various wall art medium to give our visitors the broadest art experience possible. ACAI is extremely proud to show our community both ceramic and wall art pieces from many local Sacramento area artists. The Sacramento ceramics art gallery strives to highlight artists from Sacramento/Fair Oaks and surrounding areas, such as Carmichael, Folsom, Roseville, Lincoln, Gold River/Rancho Cordova, Orangevale, and Citrus Heights.

Memberships

ACAI Studios & Gallery Memberships

Offer you a number of ways to become involved in our local art scene and support the arts. Studio Memberships give you 24×7 access to and use of our ceramics studio and its resources. Gallery memberships give local artists an opportunity to participate in shows, exhibits and special events. Supporting memberships are available to individuals and families who want to support the arts in our area and have a rich artistic resource available to everyone.
